The luck of the Irish was in full swing at Bottles in Bayreuth’s Sophienstraße on Monday night (17 March 2025) as revelers gathered for a lively St. Patrick’s Day celebration filled with music, laughter, and friendly competition.

The highlight of the evening was a rousing live performance by Shamrocks 4 You, providing party goes with energetic renditions of Irish folk classics.

Adding to the excitement was a pub quiz, where teams put their knowledge of Irish history, culture, and traditions to the test. Friendly rivalry filled the air as competitors tackled questions ranging from famous Irish landmarks to legendary myths and, of course, Guinness-related trivia. The winning team consisting of 4 walked away with original Irish fudge, securing their bragging rights until next year’s celebration.

The pub was decked out in balloons, green decorations, and plenty of Irish flags, with patrons raising their bottles of Guinness to toast the occasion. Many arrived dressed in green outfits adding to the festive atmosphere.

As the night wore on, the celebration continued with more music, of course, plenty of pints raised in honor of Ireland’s patron saint. With such a successful turnout, locals are already looking forward to next year’s St. Patrick’s Day bash organised by the Deutsch-Englische Gesellschaft e.V.
