DESCRIPTION:The Deutsch-Englische Gesellschaft Bayreuth e.V. cordially invites members and friends to a special literary afternoon\, organised in cooperation with the Schreibmaschinenmuseum Bayreuth: \nTeatime with Sherlock Holmes\n31 May\, 2.00 p.m.at the Schreibmaschinenmuseum Bayreuth \nIn honour of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Day\, celebrated annually on 22 May\, this year’s teatime is dedicated to his most famous creation\, Sherlock Holmes. \nOur afternoon will begin at 2.00 p.m. with a guided tour of the fascinating Typewriter Museum\, offering insight into the history of writing machines and the written word – innovations that shaped the literary world of Conan Doyle and his contemporaries. \nFollowing the tour\, guests are warmly invited to enjoy a traditional British-style teatime with fine tea and light refreshments. Over tea\, we will explore the world of Sherlock Holmes – his adventures\, his London\, and the enduring appeal of the great consulting detective. \nAdvance registration is kindly requested.
