Founded in 1994, the Deutsch-Englische Gesellschaft e.V. has set the goal of building a bridge from Bayreuth to the Anglophone world. Its primary goals include promoting cultural understanding, offering its members insights through social and educational initiatives, and encouraging dialogue on various issues of today. The society often hosts events, discussions, and programs that highlight the culture and peculiarities of English speaking countries.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024, members of the DEG met at Hugo-Rüdel-Straße to commemorate the occasion with an evening get-together of shared memories with drinks and food.

After much deliberation the DEG Bayreuth e.V. wants to turn a new page in its activities and encourage people to join in the sense of community! The DEG’s new tentative programme for 2025 features many opportunities to get to know us as an association, our members and what we stand for.
