Book Club Meeting September

In the DEG Book Club’s September meeting we will discuss our latest pick from our July session and choose the next read! Come join us, when we discuss what we are going to read next! Non-members are welcome!
In July’s Book Club session we chose “The Body” by Stephen King.
In The Body, four young boys set out on a journey to find the body of a missing child—and discover far more than they bargained for. Set in the 1960s in a small Maine town, this coming-of-age novella weaves nostalgia, fear, and the haunting loss of innocence into a powerful tale about friendship and growing up. The novella was made into the movie “Stand by me” in 1986.
Stephen King, best known for his mastery of horror and suspense, has penned over 60 novels and 200 short stories, many of which have become cultural touchstones. With The Body, he trades monsters for memory, delivering one of his most tender and enduring works.
